Trisha Carlson, regional director of clinical services for National Healing Corporation, oversees clinical services at several National Healing Wound Centers in various parts of the country. Carlson is also on the faculty of the National Healing Institute, National Healing's comprehensive clinical training course, which she helped develop.
Carlson lectures nationally on various wound care topics such as dressing selection, chronic wound types, debridement, and billing and coding. She serves as a consultant for research and development to Johnson & Johnson Medical - Advanced Wound Care division. Past consultancies include Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals and service as an editorial faculty member for Novartis. Most recently, Carlson was a speaker at the national Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society annual conference.
A certified wound care nurse through the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society, she is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care. Carlson also served as the clinical coordinator at the Wound Management and Hyperbaric Unit at Phoenix Regional Medical Center and the clinical manager at the Wound Healing Center at Arizona Heart Hospital, a National Healing Wound Center. She completed Hyperbaric Team Training in San Antonio, Texas.
Carlson graduated with a bachelor's degree in nursing from Nebraska Methodist College of Nursing and Allied Health. She also has a master's degree in nursing and an MBA in healthcare management from the University of Phoenix.
