Julie Cucco, regional vice president for National Healing Corporation, is responsible for clinical and business operations at NHC wound healing centers in Arkansas, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, and Mississippi. Additional duties include the integration of new and existing facilities in those states. Cucco supervises regional directors who lead teams assuring clinical excellence, management best practices, consistency of services, and fiscal accountability.
Cucco has extensive experience as a nurse educator and clinical manager. During her employment with NHC, she has served as a regional director of clinical services where she oversaw clinical services at several National Healing wound centers in various parts of the country. Prior to NHC, she worked at Mount Clemens General Hospital for over 20 years, spending the last 11 as the clinical nurse manager at the Curative Health Services Wound Care Center. While she was at the hospital, she also served as clinical nursing supervisor, operating room nurse, and nursing instructor. Cucco was also an operating room nurse in the US Army Reserve.
A member of the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Society, Cucco is a certified wound specialist. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Oakland University in Rochester, Mich., and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Central Michigan University. She earned National Healing’s 2004 Outstanding Clinical Service Project award.
