Compliance Officer and Risk Manager
Ann Garfinkel, compliance officer and risk manager for National Healing Corporation, is responsible for all Compliance Programs and functions, including privacy, facilitating the Compliance Committee, and oversight of the annual work plan.
Garfinkel is a results-oriented compliance professional with an extensive record of achievement in developing and implementing new programs and processes in order to meet regulatory requirements.
Prior to National Healing, Garfinkel was the senior director and compliance officer for a large outpatient services provider. She has lead compliance and risk management departments in a variety of health care delivery settings.
Garfinkel is certified in healthcare compliance by the Health Care Compliance Association and certified in TQM through Florida International University in Miami, Fla. She is also a licensed risk manager by the Florida State Department of Insurance and holds a supervisor license in clinical chemistry and cytology through the State of Florida.
Garfinkel earned her bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biology at the University of the State of New York in New York, N.Y., and her master’s degree in health services administration from Florida International University in Miami, Fla.
