Pam Nelson, regional director of operations for National Healing Corporation, oversees National Healing Wound Centers in the state of Florida. She first joined the company in 1998 as the program director of the National Healing Wound Center at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, Texas, and opening and managing new Wound Healing Centers in Miami, St. Petersburg and Tampa before being promoted to the regional manager position in 2004.
Nelson brings almost 18 years of experience establishing and managing hospital-based outpatient services. She has worked for National Healing for seven years managing Wound Healing Centers at St. Anthony's Healthcare in St. Petersburg, Fla., Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami, and East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, Texas, in addition to her work establishing the center at Memorial Hospital.
An experienced medical coder, Nelson's other experience includes tenure as outpatient services manager with Transitional/Vencor Hospital Corporate in Tampa, office manager at University Community Hospital, and business manager of MRI for Florida Hospital of St. Petersburg.
