James E. Patrick

Founding Shareholder and Chief Executive Officer
James E. Patrick is a founding shareholder of National Healing Corporation and a member of its board of directors. Prior to becoming CEO in 2000, Patrick served the company as chief operating officer and general counsel beginning when the company was founded in 1996.
Patrick is responsible for overseeing operations of this leading disease management company and for the development of hospital-based outpatient wound care, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, lymphedema and diabetes care centers throughout the United States. He developed the company's healthcare compliance and payor education programs. He is responsible for closing the company's strategic recapitalization with Morgan Stanley Venture Partners (MSVP) and Bank America Venture Partners (BAVP) as new lead investors.
Prior to National Healing Corporation, Patrick was a lawyer in private practice. He holds a Master's of Law degree (LLM) in taxation and is licensed in Florida, New York, Massachusetts and California. He also is a member of the Tax and Health Law Sections in Florida and New York, the American Bar Association and the Florida Hospital Association. He also serves as a member of the board of directors of Bio Florida, Florida's statewide bioscience organization and a member of the board of directors of Bethesda Memorial Hospital's Corporate Partners.
Patrick graduated from Boston University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received a Juris Doctor degree from Union University, Albany Law School in 1986 and an LLM degree in taxation from University of San Diego in 1997.
Patrick resides with his family in Boca Raton, Fla.
