James E. Patrick
National Healing Corporation
Founding Shareholder and Chief Executive Officer
James E. Patrick is a founding shareholder of National Healing Corporation and a
member of its board of directors. Prior to becoming CEO in 2000, Patrick served
the company as chief operating officer and general counsel beginning when the company
was founded in 1996.
Patrick is responsible for overseeing operations of this leading disease management
company and for the development of hospital-based outpatient wound care and hyperbaric
oxygen therapy. He is responsible for closing the company's strategic recapitalization
with Morgan Stanley Venture Partners (MSVP) and Bank America Venture Partners (BAVP)
as new lead investors.
Prior to National Healing Corporation, Patrick was a lawyer in private practice.
He holds a Master's of Law degree (LLM) in taxation and is licensed in Florida, New York, Massachusetts and California.
He is also a member of the Tax and Health Law Sections in Florida and New York.
Patrick also serves on the board of directors for BioFlorida, Florida's statewide bioscience organization and on the board of directors for Bethesda Memorial Hospital's Corporate Partners.
In 2011, Patrick received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® Florida Award in the health care category.
Patrick graduated from Boston University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
He received a Juris Doctor degree from Union University, Albany Law School in 1986
and an LLM degree in taxation from University of San Diego in 1997.
