Dr. Roberto Penne is Senior Medical Consultant and a member of National Healing Corporation’s Medical Advisory Board. Prior to this time he served as the Chief Medical Officer for Medical Multiplex, Inc.
Dr. Penne is the retired commander of the United States Air Force’s Hyperbaric and Wound Care Medicine Flight. He is fellowship trained in hyperbaric medicine, directed the Air Force’s Hyperbaric Fellowship program at the Armstrong / Davis Hyperbaric Laboratory, and served at all three of the Air Force’s multi-place hyperbaric chamber facilities.
Dr. Penne has been in aerospace medicine since 1982 and is a Board Certified Wound Specialist. He serves on the education, operations, and accreditation committees of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. In his role as member of the Medial Advisory Board, Dr. Penne provides oversight of individual Wound Healing Center Medical Directors. He also reviews and approves medical protocols, policies & procedures.
Dr. Penne lectures nationally on the topic of HBO, publishes articles, is involved in on-going research in hyperbaric medicine for wound care and is a consulting resource for Medical Directors in NHC’s Wound Healing Centers.
Penne graduated from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 1981. In addition to being a Certified Wound Specialist, his specialties include aerospace/occupational medicine and clinical hyperbaric medicine.
