National Healing Corporation

Katherine J. Rowland, chief clinical officer for National Healing, is responsible for research, clinical quality, and clinical programming for the company’s wound and hyperbaric programs throughout the U.S. Rowland joined National Healing in 2003 as senior vice president of clinical services and served as senior vice president of clinical development in 2006, before becoming chief clinical officer of the company.

Prior to joining National Healing Corporation, Rowland was senior vice president of clinical services for Praxis Clinical Services in Anaheim, Calif., where she was responsible for clinical services and operations at more than 30 sites. She has been a healthcare professional for more than 25 years with extensive experience in clinical and operations management.

Rowland is an expert on setting up and managing wound and hyperbaric programs. She has lectured extensively on both topics, including presentations about the complication rates of hyperbaric medicine, how to start and operate a wound and hyperbaric service, and preparing your hyperbaric service for review by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (also known as the Joint Commission).

Rowland is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Wound Healing Society, the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care, and Society of Clinical Research Associates.

Rowland graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Old Dominion University before earning a master’s degree in business administration, with honors, from Oklahoma City University.
