John Leonard Gwin, MD

Dr. John Leonard Gwin is a member of the National Healing's medical advisory board and serves as a resource to the medical staff of the company's Wound Healing Centers throughout the U.S.

A board certified general surgeon, Gwin serves as medical director of Memorial Wound Healing Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He also practices general and surgical oncology with University Surgical Associates and is on faculty in the department of surgery at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Chattanooga Unit.

Gwin is a past book review editor and editorial board member of the Yale Journal of Biology and Medicine. He received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine and served his residency in general surgery at the University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham. Gwin holds an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University.

A fellow in the American College of Surgeons and the Southeastern Surgical Congress, Gwin is also a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, Tennessee Medical Association, Chattanooga-Hamilton County Medical Society, American Society of Clinical Oncology, Association for the Advancement of Wound Care and Wound Healing Society.
