As a member of the medical advisory board for National Healing Corporation, Dr. Robert Snyder serves as a resource to the medical staff of the company's Wound Healing Centers throughout the U.S.
A podiatric surgeon, Snyder maintains a private practice and serves as medical director of the Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center at University Hospital in Tamarac, Florida. He is also the clinical director of the Wound Care Center Northwest Medical Center in Margate, Florida.
Snyder is board certified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is also a board certified wound specialist by the American Academy of Wound Management and a member of the board of directors of that organization.
Snyder is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Professional Wound Care Association and the College of Certified Wound Specialists. He is a member of the board of directors of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care and was recognized as one of the "Top 100 most influential podiatrists in the United States" by Podiatry Management Magazine.
A frequent contributor for many medical journals, Snyder is consulting editor for Podiatry Management Magazine and a member of the editorial advisory board of Ostomy Wound Management. He has authored more than 75 papers for peer-reviewed and trade journals on topics relating to wound management and limb salvage.
Snyder received his doctorate of podiatric medicine from New York College of Podiatric Medicine, and he completed his residency at Jewish Memorial Hospital in New York City. Snyder also attended the Wound Healing Summer School at Oxford University in England and is currently pursuing a master of science in Wound Healing from the University of Wales School of Medicine at Cardiff University, U.K. He holds an undergraduate degree in biology from Long Island University.
