Central Georgia Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine
Honored for Outstanding Care
Central Georgia Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine has been honored with the "Clinical Indicators Pacesetter Award" from National Healing Corporation (NHC), a leader in disease management accounting for 20 percent of the nation's managed and outsourced wound healing centers.
During the period studied, the center enhanced patient care in nine key areas. The achievement resulted from the utilization of state-of-the-art therapies including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, bio-engineered tissue substitutes and vacuum-assisted closure.
NHC Senior Vice President of Clinical Services Katherine J. Rowland presented the award saying, "A number of underlying conditions such as diabetes, vascular disease and radiation exposure contribute to chronic wounds making each one unique. Opened in 2002, Central Georgia Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine and its exceptional team continue to excel in diagnosing wounds and providing individualized treatment."
The winners of the annual NHC awards are based on data from clinical measures reported from its centers.
Accepting the award at the NHC awards dinner in San Diego, Gray resident Tiffany Lawrence who serves as the center's clinical manager said, "The entire team at Central Georgia Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine appreciates this award but we know the true reward comes from discovering ways to heal wounds more effectively to enable our patients to live more comfortable and full lives."
