Regional Director of Clinical Services of the Year Award Won by Michael Sellers
ADDISON, Texas (March 7, 2006) - Addison resident Michael Sellers, RN, CHRN, received the Regional Director of Clinical Services of the Year Award from National Healing Corporation (NHC), a leader in disease management accounting for 20 percent of the nation's managed and outsourced wound healing centers.
"It has been an important year for us, as National Healing Corporation has received the Disease Specific Care Certification for wound care from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations," said Katherine J. Rowland, NHC senior vice president of clinical services, who bestowed the award at a company event in Georgia. "We also launched our first research study in a partnership with Ohio State University. Michael is a leader in our ability to maintain clinical excellence while also striving to reach new heights of service for our patients."
Accepting the award, Sellers said, "I am constantly inspired by the commitment of the doctors and clinical staffs at our wound healing centers. I am proud to be part of a team where everyone works with the same goal in mind - to make a significant difference in our patients' lives."
Formerly the clinical coordinator at Baylor University Medical Center's Hyperbaric Medicine Center in Dallas, Sellers oversees clinical services at nine National Healing Wound Centers in various parts of the country.
Sellers' work with National Healing Corporation has contributed to the company's above average healing rate of 81 percent on previously non-responsive wounds and has helped reduced the amputation rate to 2 percent.
