Specialized Wound Care Training

As part of its managed wound center and hyperbaric oxygen outpatient services to hospitals, National Healing Corporation offers specialized training in the most current diagnostic tests, technologies and treatments available today.

National and regional research symposiums feature briefings by internationally recognized specialists on new treatment options and research that may bring additional advances in wound care and hyperbaric oxygen services.

According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, medical knowledge doubles every two years and specialized training keeps NHC managed wound centers on the leading edge. In 2009, NHC educational programs provided 29,881 Continuing Medical Education/Continuing Education Units of credit.

NHC presents the National Healing Institute on The Ohio State University campus up to 12 times each year offering physicians, nurses and technicians from its managed wound centers an accredited 50-hour specialized training program.

As part of its wound management services to hospitals, NHI sessions are also open to residents and fellows from hospitals that partner with NHC to provide their communities with turnkey wound healing and hyperbaric oxygen services. Primary care physicians, surgeons, podiatrists, radiation oncologists, dentists, gynecologists, internists and a variety of specialists gain exposure to specialty wound care and hyperbaric oxygen services.

Successful completion of the course is generally accepted credentialing criteria for privileges in hyperbaric medicine and meets the basic eligibility requirements to apply for hyperbaric medicine certification through the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine.
